Here are our tips for answering three of the most common (and important!) interview questions to help you land your next role.

“Tell me about yourself.” 

This question typically kicks off every interview, and it's not an opening to tell your whole life story. This is a prime opportunity to talk about your experience in a way that positions you as being a perfect match for the role.

“Why do you want to work at this company.” 

A great answer to this question talks about the mission, vision and values of the company and how they align with your goals and skills. Be sure to highlight what value you will bring to the organization, not just how it will benefit your career.

“Tell me about a time you have failed.” 

This question trips up a lot of candidates, but it's a golden opportunity to show interviewers how well you learn.  A good answer should highlight the mistake you made, where you went wrong and what you learned as a result.
